We are delighted to announce the return of our popular evening of family carols and christmas spirits at the village hall. The date for your diary is the winter solstice on Wednesday, 21st December, beginning at 5.30pm. We will have musical accompaniment from the "Otter Folk". There will be a raffle, mulled cider, apple juice and nibbles.
This is a free village event, but donations to support the maintenance of the play park would be appreciated on the night. Following a long break due to Covid, we are announcing a welcome return to our popular evening of Christmas Carols. and live music. The date for your diary is the winter solstice on

Wednesday 7th December your village hall will be holding an open house. You are welcome to join us for refreshments and live music from local folk group Otter Folk. The hall will be open from 2.30pm The Halloween hot dog servers enjoy a break during our super family party. Thanks to all of those who supported us. The fancy dress was very scary and very high quality! We made a profit of £167 which will be used towards improvements to play equipment in our children's play park.
This was our first venture into digital ticket sales, which was quite daunting, but we sold out very speedily. Our village defibrillator is now installed and operational. On Tuesday 6th September over 30 people attended an awareness session. They learned about the work of the Community Heartbeat Trust who provide the defibrillators. Our trainer outlined the main causes of cardiac arrest and how to perform CPR. We were then shown how to use the defibrillator and we were surprised to learn how user-friendly the device is. Everyone felt more confident about its use by the end of the session.
Our community defibrillator is now installed and operational.
On Tuesday, 6th September at 5.30 we are hosting a defibrillator awareness seminar in the village hall. The seminar is provided by the Community Heartbeat Trust and will last about 2 hours. It will explain how to access and operate the defibrillator in an emergency. The event is free.
